Child health surveillance and immunisations are carried out in the baby clinic by the doctors and practice nurses. If your child is unwell, please bring them to a normal surgery.

Other Services

Contraceptive Services

All doctors provide contraceptive services. Dr Seedat & Sinha both fit coils. Dr Seedat also does implants, please book an appointment with her to discuss this.

Cervical Cytology

The practice nurses are available to perform smear tests, as are all the doctors, by appointment only. It is recommended that regular smear tests be performed every three years between the ages of 25 and 65.

Your first smear test is offered at the age of 24 years 6 months.

We can now offer appointments at weekends for smear tests at the spoke clinic, this is held at Barbara Castle Way.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery, including joint injections, can be done by various GP's please ask reception for more information. Please make an appointment with the doctor in the normal surgery time.

Travel Vaccinations

We stock most routine vaccinations required for foreign travel. Please fill in the travel vaccination form atleast 8 weeks before you are due to fly out and book an appointment at the same time for the nurse to administer vaccines if needed and give travel advice.

St Georges surgery is a centre for supplying the yellow fever vaccination for which there is a charge.

Adult Immunisation

We strongly recommend that you maintain your immunity to tetanus by having an anti-tetanus booster every 10 years.

Influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations are also available between September and December.

Non-NHS Services

Certain services such as private sick notes, private prescriptions, insurance claim forms, passport applications, some medical examinations and travel vaccinations are not covered by the National Health Service and charges are made in line with BMA recommendations. Please ask at reception for details.
